Noname Book Club (NNBC) New Orleans’ chapter returns on Saturday, 10/25 at the John Thompson Legacy Center for 1PM! Each month a book written by a Black author is chosen and discussed. This month's pick is “Assata: An Autobiography.” Interested in attending? Grab a copy from either the Community Book Center or Baldwin & Co.
NNBC is a Black owned business connecting community members both inside and outside of carceral facilities with radical books. They believe that building community through political education is crucial for our liberation and that Black people everywhere should have access to unlimited educational materials. In addition to 20 book club chapters within the US and 4 international chapters (London, Lagos, Accra and Nairobi), NNBC sends books to 1,500 incarcerated club members.
