Join Not In My Name (NIMN), a PJI organizing initiative bringing together survivors of violence and families whose loved ones were murdered for a discussion of The Deserving, a new book by Elizabeth Vartkessian, Executive Director of Advancing Real Change’s (ARC). With executions at a historic high in the US and government push to expand the death penalty, The Deserving explores the universe of deep investigation into the lives of those accused of killing others and examines the inflection points of a myriad of our systems that both create the conditions for such harm and fail to bring relief to those who are impacted.
