Lobby Day
April 9, 2024
PJI invites everyone to join us at the State Capitol in Baton Rouge from 9 am-4 pm on Tuesday, April 9th as we demand an End to Jim Crow Juries.
The families and loved ones of people unconstitutionally incarcerated with Jim Crow Juries will join community members and faith leaders from all over the state to demand that our legislature put an end to this racist scheme. Speak with legislators and hear from people currently and formerly incarcerated, elected officials, and advocates!
PJI will provide resources and training to folks on how the legislative process works, questions to ask legislators, advocacy talking points, and grounding/self-care techniques for ourselves. Advocacy materials will be shared theweek before Lobby Day and organizers are available to answer any questions!
